We will work together to create an exhibition opening Oct 30 of works, individually made, made by a group
or curated and installed in the gallery. The works, designed by each of you or curated by you, should
reflect the body of work you are currently interested in and will take on new materials and formats that
you have not previously explored.
The work will be part of a larger documentation project due at the end of the semester. After the show,
each participant will make a limited edition book/folio/video or website that will be distributed as
a “take-away work of art”.
What type of fabrication skills do you want to acquire?
Is there a way of working you have not tried?
What tools and materials would you like to work with?
What form of art exhibition or participatory event would you like to explore?
What body of work have you created in the past and what do you want to work on in the future?
Who does your work serve?
Do you want to broaden or focus this scope?
How can a temporal work or an installation be documented to have the same impact as the actual event?
