Textbooks

The primary textbook for the material covered is Biology: The Dynamic Science, First Edition, by Russell, Wolfe, Hertz and Star (2008). I will also refer you to the eleventh edition of Brock Biology of Microorganisms by Madigan, Martinko and Parker (2006). Copies of this textbook are on reserve in the library. For an introduction to Microbiology, please consult Brock Ch. 1. Notice that the readings listed above are recommended, not required. The readings will be useful in strengthening your knowledge in the subjects covered. Use the table of contents of both texts to expand your understanding!
