Biology Stockroom
The Reed College Biology Stockroom, located in Room B5 of the Biology building, is open from 9:00 AM to 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. This is the place to find chemicals, small equipment, disposable lab supplies and catalogs.
Stockroom Support for Thesis and Independent Project Work
Lab safety is one of our major concerns. MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) are available in B7 and some safety information is included in the Stockroom Chemical Inventory. For more safety information, check out the safety links below under "Safety".

A guide to MSDS sources and serious hazard information available over the internet.
ChemFinder WebServer is a very nice searchable database with many links to other sites. It is particularly good in finding biochemicals which are not listed on other databases.
A straightforward searchable database for standard chemical compounds, maintained by Dr. James K. Hardy at The University of Akron.
Orders
Fisher Scientific Supply company has all sorts of general lab equipment and standard chemicals.
Sigma Chemical is the best place to look for chemicals, esoteric and common. This site will also connect you to Aldrich and Fluka Chemical companies.
