This manual contains experiments for Chem 201 and 202. Many experiments take more than one lab session to complete and a tentative schedule for Chem 201 lab work is listed below. Last-minute changes to this schedule will be announced in the usual ways: lab lecture, mass email, and/or 201-202 wEB pAGE.
Because of routine uncertainties about lab registration, lab will not meet the first week of classes. The lab will meet the second week of classes for "checking out" lab equipment and fire extinguisher training. The first experiment will be performed the third week.
All lab students must attend lab during the second week. Tuesday and Wednesday students should attend on their assigned day. Because the lab will be closed on Labor Day, Monday students should attend lab on either Tuesday or Wednesday.
Lab lectures are held every week unless announced otherwise.
