Chemistry 333 - Fall 2006

Reserved Material (Reed Library)

Reserve Books

I have reserved several items for you: a selection of competing textbooks, a book of orbital pictures, and a "concept handbook".

The orbital pictures may become useful late in the course.

Skim the "concept handbook" from time to time just to see whether you understand the significance of the concepts that are discussed in class.

As for the textbooks, I recommend reading them in bits and pieces. Two especially good uses of textbooks are: 1) getting the same material in our text, e.g., particle in a box, but from a different perspective or with a different level of detail, 2) getting ideas on how to solve homework problems..
