Marsh Cronyn '40 and chemistry professor emeritus (1952-1989) passed away just before the New Year as a result of injuries sustained in a car accident in mid-December. All who knew Marsh as a great teacher, colleague, scientist, and friend will miss him. "Remembering Marsh," a gathering of Marsh's family, students, colleagues, neighbors, classmates, and climbing partners, commemorated Marsh's exceptional life on January 19 in the atrium of the Scott Laboratory of Chemistry. Oregon. The Chemistry department is located in the Arthur F. Scott Laboratory
of Chemistry, overlooking the Reed College canyon.
Reed students can earn bachelor's degrees in chemistry, biochemistry-molecular
