Wang Zhaojun (later known as Mingjun to avoid taboo name of Emperor Wen of Jin, 211-65), whose name has been variously translated as "Radiant Lady," "Lady Luminous," etc., was the concubine of Emperor Yuan of the Former Han (r. 48-33 B.C.). He gave her to the ruler of the Xiongnu as a bribe. Two quite different interpretations of this line have been proposed by scholars: 1) Some read this line as "A long piece of Shu paper with a portrait of Wang Zhaojun on it is rolled up into a scroll."; 2) Some others, including this translator, think that this refers to a yuefu ballad.
