RUPTURE: Reed Arts Week 2012

Taking place from February 29th to March 4th, Reed Arts Week 2012: RUPTURE seeks to explore the seam between destruction and creation, the moments that disrupt the continuity of a previous order, generating the potential to envision the world anew. Both visiting and student artists are invited to articulate the spectrum of surreptitious to monumental creativities that exist at the moment of a departure from established norms and trajectories, to invent a new art of inventing. Highlighting visceral earthly bursts, sparks of political revolution, and other forms exceeding the boundaries of both the imaginary and the everyday, RAW ignites the bliss and births that come from breaking.

Student Art Application Guidelines - Due November 4, 2011:
Contact Info: Name. Telephone #. Email. Box #.
Materials/Cost: Give a detailed description of all necessary materials and their estimated cost.
Proposal: <700 words: Give a description of what you would like to create and how you feel it relates to "RUPTURE."
