Economics 371 - Paper Assignment

This assignment will allow you to apply the theories explored in this course to a property, contract, or tort case. I suggest focusing on a recently decided case (within the past year). Excellent starting points include news sources; links to numerous legal news sources are available from the Economics 371 Links web page. It is also possible to do searches in Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe under case law and codes and regulations.

Remember that not all cases are published, for example, some cases are settled out of court. For more information see Chapters 1 and 2 in Cohen, Morris L., Robert C. Berring, and Kent C. Olson How To Find The Law (9th edition) West Publishing Co., 1989. This book is located in the Reference room of Reed's library.
