Facilities
Music department facilities include:
- The Kaul Auditorium, a beautiful performance hall that holds 750, and where the orchestra and chorus perform;
- The chapel, which is used for Collegium and Friday at Four concerts and other chamber music;
- A band practice room in the Commons;
- A library of scores and recordings, housed in the library;
- An adjacent music listening room;
- 20 instrumental practice rooms (including 15 pianos, a harpsichord, a virginal, & a clavichord) in Prexy, formerly the President's house. All students have access to the practice rooms.
- Prexy also houses a modest computer music laboratory equipped with three computers, two synthesizers, a laser printer, and a recording system, available to all students, and a computer lab for students in Music 112 (Theory 2).

Prexy is open from 7a.m. until midnight, seven days a week. For additional recreational use, students may use pianos in the student union and in the social rooms of several of the residence halls. In addition to a number of orchestral instruments for student use, the College owns several concert grand pianos reserved for more formal musical events.
