Music Department

Music department facilities include:

• The Kaul Auditorium, a beautiful performance hall that holds 750, and where the orchestra and chorus perform;
• The chapel, which is used for Collegium and Friday at Four concerts and other chamber music;
• A band practice room in the Commons;
• A library of scores and recordings, housed in the library;
• An adjacent music listening room;
• 20 instrumental practice rooms (including 15 pianos, a harpsichord, a virginal, & a clavichord) in Prexy, formerly the President's house. All students have access to the practice rooms.
• Prexy also houses a modest computer music laboratory equipped with three computers, two synthesizers, a laser printer, and a recording system, available to all students, and a computer lab for students in Music 112 (Theory 2).
