Craig Gibson

Trumpet

CRAIG GIBSON, trumpet, is an accomplished instructor and freelance trumpeter in Portland, OR.  He is currently Principal Trumpet in the Portland Chamber Orchestra, SoundWaves Festival Orchestra, & Oregon Coast Music Festival Orchestra, and plays in the trumpet section for the Portland Opera Orchestra.  Mr. Gibson is also founder of the Columbia Brass; a Chamber Brass Ensemble which performs regularly in the Northwest.  Craig has spent over 25 years as a Public School Instrumental & General Music teacher, during which time he & his groups have earned many honors & awards.  Mr. Gibson is also an advocate of the arts, having served as President of the non-profit Portland Brass Society since 1992, and has been a  faculty member at the Brass@Wallowa Lake Summer Camp since it’s inception.
