Jeanne Morefield's published work has explored the historical intersection of political theory, international relations theory, and imperialist rhetoric in Britain and America during the twentieth century with particular focus on the inter war period.  She is currently working on a book "Politics in the Passive: Liberal Character and Imperialist Amnesia in the Long Twentieth Century."  She is also working on articles looking at contemporary imperialist reception of Thucydides, the historical origins of the idea of "international governance," and the political ideology of the League of Nations' "Traffic in Women and Children Committee."
