Reed Outing Club
The Coop
The Reed Backpack Coop is located in the basement of ODB, across the quad from the steps of Commons. Reed Students, Faculty and Staff can all rent gear from the Coop. The Coop is also an area for people interested in the outdoors to hang out and be social. The coop has a large room that is good for pre-trip meetings, watching films, and clinics. The Coop has a TV and a few videos about outdoor activities such as telemark skiing, boating and climbing.
Kate Schimel and Ethan Linck lead the charge for the backpack co-op. They can be reached at backpack@reed.edu. If you have an urgent need of a snowshoe and you cannot make the regular hours for some reason, email the managers, and they might be able to help you out.
The backpack coop hours for Spring 2012 are:
