5/4-11: Mt. Hood Summit Bid. During Reading week we'll take a shot at climbing that mountain. Past experience required (see Glacier Skills Clinic below).
4/21-23: Banff Film Festival. Head to the theater to enjoy this popular festival of outdoor films.
4/19: Glacier Skills Clinic. Learn the skills of mountaineering including self arrest, glacier travel, and more. (important for the Mt. Hood Ascent coming up)
4/4: St. Helens Ascent and Descent (lottery 3/25). Climb Mt. St. Helens and enjoy all your hard work on some skis/boards.
4/?: Surfing Trip. Squeeze into those wetsuits and join Jane and Doug for a day of surfing on the Oregon coast.
3/29: Avalanche Clinic, Practice. Appy the theory you just learned (with some enjoyment of the snow), inculding pits and transceiver usage.
3/25: Avalanche Clinic, Classroom. Learn the theory behind avalanche safety and management.
3/16-17: Snow shoe and cabin overnight. Join Phil Stasz and snowshoe in the Indian Heaven Wilderness Area with a warm and comfortable cabin to spend the night in.
