Peter Ksander is a Stage Designer who holds a MFA from the California Institute of the Arts. He has designed sets and lighting for performance events at all scales, from the most experimental closets to grand opera stages. His work has been presented at numerous institutions and venues including: The National Theater of Hungary, Maison des Arts de Creteil, The Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Public Theater, The Intiman, The Walker Art Center, Arts at St. Ann’s, La Mama ETC. PS122, HERE Arts Center, The Ontological-Hysteric Theater, The ICA (Boston), Theater for a New Audience, The California Institute of the Arts, The TBA Festival, and Under the Radar, as well as having continuing artistic relationships with the Theater of a Two-Headed Calf, TENT, Stillpoint Productions, Restless NYC, and Banana Bag and Bodice. In 2005 Peter was a recipient of the NEA/TCG Career Development Program and in 2008 he won an Obie award for the scenic design of Untitled Mars (this title may change), created and directed by Jay Scheib. Additionally he has served as a curator for the Ontological Hysteric Incubator and the Incubator Arts Project.
