February 12th:

SNACKS:  Maia & Hannah

REVIEW AND PAPER PRESENTATION:
Jason & Melissa
This week the review paper is very much an ecology theory paper, we will get the genomics side of things from the primary research papers. The paper really reviews 3 related fields (niche specialization, divsion of labor, and animal personality) first summarizing key approaches and findings of each andhighlighting the main distinctions amongst them. The goal in doing this is to suggest how lessons from each can enhance the understanding of the others. During this first week we will read a paper that applies genomics to the study of the division of labor and next week we will read that applies genomic approaches to the study of animal personality. As you read them, consider how they relate to each other. Do you agree with the authors of the review?
